Cast of "Sweeter Without Sugar"Michelle Joan Papillion Michelle Joan Papillion stars as Yolanda Wells in "Sweeter Without Sugar." The Oakland, California native got her start in arts and entertainment at the young age of 7. She even hosted a local television show while attending middle school.
She went on to attend the well-respected Howard University and majored in art history. Michelle is also a very talented painter and artist who has shown her work in galleries across the globe. While in London, she studied theatre and worked on several productions. She has also done commercial and print work. This is Michelle's feature film debut. She is currently in preproduction for two film projects.

He has studied acting in at various schools in New York has worked on various productions in the United States and Puerto Rico.
He credits his success to his supportive family and to his dedication to the craft. He looks forward to pursuing all aspects of the entertainment business and is currently residing in Florida.

Johnie MaeJohnie Mae stars as Vivian Wells. She is an award winning stage, film and television actress. Her film and television credits include Law and Order, Premium, Maid in Manhattan, The Preacher's Wife, First Wives Club, Up In Harlem, Oz, Guiding Light and many more. Her theatre credits include "Native Son", "Blues About Mad Women", "In A Clean House", "Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery", "Life Comes in Threes", "Hubba City" the Nuyorican Poets Cafe's, "Life During Wartimes" and countless other productions.
She won the 2000 OOBR Award and the 1995 AUDELCO Award for Best Supporting Actress. She is a graduate of the University of Florida's Broadcasting and Theatre program. She recently stared in a one-woman show that she wrote and produced.
Amber hails from northern California and has a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University where she studied film and political science.

Ohene Cornelius a.k.a. "Hene C"Hene C stars as Mark Knight. He has been in the performing arts since childhood. He has several theatrical and film credits and is also an independent producer. He has studied acting at the Negro Ensemble Theatre under the direction of Erik Kilpatrick. Hene C is also a hip-hop and spoken word artist. He is currently promoting his debut album. |
Emeka OnyejekweEmeka Onyejekwe is a recent graduate of New York University School of Law in the Class of 2006 and the author of the acclaimed Grime and Glory. Grime and Glory is his first novel and was inspired by Emeka's experiences as a college athlete and the accounts of many of his NFL friends. He graduated Cum Laude from The Ohio State University after three years of study with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During his undergraduate years, he was a varsity football player, a member of the Homecoming Court, and an Honors student. Currently, he is also a professional model/actor (work includes Phat Farm, MTV commercials), a hip-hop artist (mekkadon.com), sports marketing agent, and the President of Soul's Cabin, Inc. (soulscabin.com), and as a result, he has been bestowed the honor of being called a "Renaissance Man". In the fall, he will begin working as an attorney at Weil, Gotshal and Manges, one of the top ten corporate law firms in the world. Emeka is the youngest of his parents' four children. |
